- BIOME+ LEVEL 4 FORMULATION indicates that live probiotics are included. These seeds the skin with beneficial microbial species that can colonise and multiply, actively shifting the skin’s microbiome in the right direction. Rectifies imbalances.
- Strengthens barrier function.
- Modulates immune system. Re-educates the skin to respond appropriately to stimuli.
- This formulation is water-free. Probiotics are encapsulated and are activated on contact with water on the skin.
- Live Lactobacillus – microbes consisting of a keystone species that actively shapes an imbalanced microbiome by re-defining a healthy balance of microbes on the skin. Improves hydration by promoting Lactic Acid production and strengthening T-junction formation. This, in turn strengthens barrier function, reduces inflammation and calms the skin by decreasing redness and discomfort.
- Shea Butter – is healing and deeply nourishing.
- Vitamin E – is an antioxidant, promotes elasticity.

Saw great results with a client that used this serum. She said it made her skin feel smooth, she saw reduced redness and inflammation. Remarkable product results.

This serum sooths any kind of inflamed skin. It feels like silk once applied and you can immediately feel the difference. Vety much like the probiotic serum it also contains live probiotics to improve barrier function and so much more.

This product for me is great! When my body is run down it shows in my skin and I find that this is a really great product to give my skin a boost. It helps to repair some of the damage already done and it gives my skin a fresh new start.
Paula –
Esse Sensitive Serum is a remarkable product and provides excellent results in a very short period of time.
This product will give you THE most amazing results! Within just 2 weeks my skin was calmer, less stressed and smoother than ever before. My skin felt plumped and super-hydrated. Even my fine lines improved. This truly is a remarkable product and I would recommend it to both those with or without sensitive skin.

Love the product, hate the tube! The serum is too thin at room temperature and leaks out the tube. Cool it, then it’s too thick and can’t come out of the tube! It’s difficult to control the amount of product that comes out, almost always too much comes out and drips down & is wasted!! The Lavera eye cream tube with the tiny tip would be more suitable for the texture of this product…

This serum is great, moisturising, and a little goes a long way. But the tube, oh my lord the tube… I liked the old tube so much better, the new one is a nightmare! I’ve lost probably half of the serum in the tube because it’s so hard to use. Please bring back the old tube!!
Response from Esse:
Thank you for your feedback Jo.
We are aware that these tubes are causing some problems for customers and are looking at how we can improve the packaging. There are some good reasons for using a tube of this nature and there are some tips on how to ‘fix’ the issues if they arise. It is an airless system, meaning that there is little or no exposure to air (a good thing when dealing with mildly preserved products). The pump allows for controlled dispensing so you don’t dispense more than you need. As an oil based product, viscosity changes are to be expected (thicker at colder temps, runner when it warms a little) – if you are able to store it in the fridge, it would keep it more viscous and easier to dispense (this is not essential but rather an option).
If the pump is unscrewed, it’s important to replace it in a very specific way – tap the tube on the sealed base so that the product is at the very tip of the tube with no air pockets. Then squeeze the tube until the product is almost near the rim opening and be sure to insert the little dip tube from the pump directly into the product so that there is no air left once the pump is screwed in (this is where you need to be careful as you don’t want product spilling out and getting on the thread as it acts as a lubricant and can cause it to unscrew and become leaky). If all is put together carefully, these tubes are actually very effective but their fiddley requirements do mean that they become less than perfect if the assembly is not 100% perfect.
